The Smarts are an alarmingly new band from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, which are not in fact “twins” at all, unless they’re twins of the fraternal variety. The band is currently in negotiation with a slick Madison Avenue marketing and communications agency which has promised to deliver a strategically-developed key selling proposition which will be implemented to better target our base-demographic, that being people who are not yet dead. Until that time, this “for placement only” message will be used as filler. The Smarts, by the way, play many of their own instruments and write their own songs.
